Pulled Oumph! Tacos

Oumph! is food from the plant kingdom. Available in unseasoned editions and with seasonings, as well as The Oumph! Burger, which was recently awarded Vegan Burger of the Year. Use the Pulled Oumph! to create moreish tacos with homemade avocado cream and chilli mayo for your next Mexican-themed feast.

Pulled Oumph! Tacos Recipe: Veggie

Ingredients:

1x pack (280g) Pulled Oumph!
vegetable cooking oil, for frying
your favourite taco fillings (such as sliced tomatoes, salad leaves and thinly sliced peppers)
8 tacos

For the avocado cream:

2 avocados
1 garlic clove
1 small piece of ginger (approx. 1 cm square)
1 chilli, to taste
1-2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
salt and ground black pepper

For the sriracha mayonnaise:

plant-based mayonnaise
sriracha hot sauce (or your preferred chilli hot sauce)

method:

  • Defrost the Pulled Oumph!, then fry the pieces on a medium heat in a little vegetable oil.
  • To make the avocado cream, pit and peel the avocado and place in a bowl. Crush the garlic, grate the ginger and add to the mix. Lastly, add finely chopped chilli, lemon juice, salt and black pepper, to taste. Mix with a hand blender until it’s a smooth, creamy consistency.
  • To make the sriracha mayonnaise, place the mayo in a bowl and add sriracha, or your preferred chilli hot sauce, to taste.
  • Build your own tacos with Pulled Oumph! and your favourite veggies, topped with the avocado cream, mayonnaise and grated plant-based cheese. Boom! Taco time!
